    Description


    The Itzhaki Lab, at Emory University School of Medicine, is a translational bedside-to-bench-to-bedside cardiac electrophysiology research laboratory that seeks to employ a Biomedical Engineering Postdoctoral Fellow specializing in one or more of the following areas: mathematical modeling of biological systems, microfluidics, and machine learning.

    The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary collaborative research environment focused on the development of drug screening platforms, with the intent of contributing to the derivation of new antiarrhythmic therapeutic options for the management of arrhythmia-susceptible congenital disease patients.

    This research will be supported by advanced technologies, including high-throughput multiparametric electrophysiology and calcium imaging recording systems, and disease- and patient-specific iPSC technology.


    Minimum qualification:
    A Ph.
    D.

    or equivalent degree in Biomedical Engineering or another appropriately relevant engineering field; no more than 1 year of postdoctoral experience; strong scientific writing and oral communication skills; a demonstrated background in at least one of the following areas:
    mathematical modeling of biological systems, microfluidics, and machine learning.

    In addition, the candidate should have proficiency in relevant programming languages such as:
    MATLAB, python, etc.; additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator, Dr. Ilanit Itzhaki.
