    Cook Engineering is investing in a Project Manager/Estimator that is motivated in becoming a core member of a superior construction team. Specializing in grading and underground utilities, our company has had significant growth in the last several years and is building our dream team for the future. You will be bidding projects ($1-$20 mil.) in revenues and managing those you win for the ultimate job satisfaction.     ?Job Summary:

    The Estimator/Project Manager is responsible for performing site inspections, estimates and running multiple projects at one time with a strong attention to detail.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    Proficient in estimating & management platforms -HCSS HeavyBid and HeavyJob

    Generate accurate, complete, and timely estimates and budgets

    Articulate scope and value of work to clients and team members

    Proficient in written and verbal communication

    Manage project "buy out" of materials and subcontractors

    Manage material submittal process

    Prepare and execute subcontract agreements

    Setup project budget for export to Foundation & HeavyJob

    Manage project costs & change Orders

    Prepare and submit monthly invoicing

    Prepare and communicate project schedules

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    Able to manage multiple projects at one time

    Strong attention to detail

    Self-motivated, responsible, and accountable

    • Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
    • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.
    • Experience as a construction project manager
    • Budget management experience.

    Education and Experience:

    5+ years experience as an estimator

    Established background in Construction industry

    Proficient in Agtek, Quickmeasure and Microsoft Office

    A bachelor's degree or masters degree in a related field.

    Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
