In this role you will:
The Senior Software Engineer at Actabl will have a passion for data architecture, cloud technologies, and team leadership. They will lead efforts into revolutionizing data integration and accessibility.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in architecting a new way to import and harmonize data.
Typical Functions:
Data Architecture :
Leverage your 5+ years of experience in designing and optimizing database solutions. You'll work closely with stakeholders to create a robust data architecture that seamlessly integrates various data sources.
Programming Languages :
Demonstrate proficiency in Java and C#. Your code is not just functional but elegant.
Team Leadership :
As a seasoned engineer, you'll mentor junior team members, foster collaboration, and drive technical excellence.
Cloud Solutions :
Familiarity with Azure or AWS is essential. You'll architect, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions.
Data Import Strategy :
Devise a robust strategy for importing data efficiently, ensuring data quality, and maintaining performance.
Collaboration :
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and product managers.
Requirements
Participate in a team-based Agile Scrum Environment :
Supports design, development, implementation, and maintenance of software programming applications.
Regularly participate in Agile ceremonies and assist in work sizing/estimation
Participate in the secure development lifecycle leveraging best development practices
Meet regularly and work closely with internal and external developers (including front-end and UI/UX), project managers and Technology team members to develop modern innovative software solutions to address user needs and business goals with prioritizing overall quality and security.
Able to break down work into consumable tasks and identify how much work is required to complete the tasks.Perform regular code reviews, identify improvements for readability, maintainability, security, performance and other aspects of code quality
Executes work efficiently and meets agreed on deadlines
Completes most development activities independently
Requirements
Core Requirements:
Strong background in data warehousing concepts, ETL development, data modeling, metadata management and data quality
Strong knowledge of SQL running on SQL Server, MySQL, and Snowflake including but not limited to: extensive experience working with complex stored procedures, table definitions, and a proven track-record of performance optimizations and troubleshooting of SQL logic.
Proficient at C# running on .NET Core and/or other similar .NET frameworks including but not limited to:
writing Unit Tests and implementing algorithms and data structures
Strong hands on experience in Microservices, RESTful webservices development in Java (Spring Boot or equivalent framework)
Proficient at building intelligent solutions to complex problems.
Experience using source control tools such as GIT
Proficient at Performance Tuning and Optimization methodologies.
Proficient at managing one's own time.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar experience.
5+ years of SQL experience in SQL Server, MySQL, and Snowflake.
5+ years of C# and Java experience.
5+ years of experience with APIs (JSON, XML, SOAP, etc)
5+ years IDE experience with Microsoft Visual Studios, IntelliJ, or similar IDE
2+ years Jira experience
Proven knowledge of building high-performing event-driven systems using SQL or NoSQL databases, Azure Functions, AWS Lambda Functions or similar technology.
Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills.CI/CD Tools such as Jenkins and ADO Pipelines
