    Description

    The Lead Architect for DMS (Dealer Management Systems) + ERP (3rd Party ERP) system is responsible for architecting, designing, and leading implementation of comprehensive solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements for an automotive dealer ERP system based on a third-party low-code/no-code platform. The architect in this position is expected to be 50% hands-on.

    Requirements:

    • Experience in multi-tier enterprise architecture environments.
    • Experience designing and developing enterprise integrations.
    • Some experience with low-code/no-code architecture- , SQL,
    • Experience documenting and presenting architectural designs and solutions to the team.
    • Experience working across multiple teams to influence consistent patterns.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with teams across multiple time zones.
    • In-person presence in the office per company policies and some amount of travel as needed.
    • 7+ years+ of working experience on engineering and architecture teams.
    • Experience as a Technical Lead on large-scale software implementations with design and hands-on development.
    • Experience in technology development and delivery for SAAS applications.
    • Experience with Enterprise and AWS or similar Cloud based environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Participates in the conceptual phases of identifying and solving business problems and initiatives.
    • Assists with the development of frameworks, standards, policies, principles, and procedures to guide technology implementation.
    • Facilitates technical design reviews, ensuring adherence to architectural standards of the organization.
    • Contributes to functional, logical, and technical architecture for the ERP project and ERP platform initiatives and collaborates with the greater architecture team and the project team on implementation.
    • Identifies necessary non-functional requirements (performance, security, operational concerns) and participates in addressing them.
    • Recommends options for the resolution/prevention of technical debt and to facilitate rapid development and implementation.
    • Helps develop and execute test plans to test functional software and infrastructure and helps drive consistency and automation.
    • Recommends improvements to processes and technology that improve the effectiveness of the team.
    • Helps drive best practices for software development, coding, performance tuning and integration.
    • Contributes to the definition of engineering processes, standards, and technologies / frameworks.
