- Keeping the equipment, computers and materials used in our teaching labs well maintained.
- Maintaining the operation of computers in labs, offices, and classrooms, including software installation and update.
- Maintaining the chemical inventories and required SDSs and other documentation in our labs.
- Assisting with safety procedures, training, ppe and inspections in our laboratories.
- Assisting with departmental equipment/property inventories and records.
- Assisting with departmental and faculty purchasing, ordering, and receiving and handling of computer and laboratory items.
- Helping faculty members install, update and maintain the materials and equipment in their research area
- Performing other jobs as needed for teaching and research assigned by departmental chair.

- Bachelor's degree or Associate Degree with experience.
- 2 years in mechanical or computer related work. Key Competencies:
- Good communication skills and ability to interpret oral/written instructions.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and repair;
- Operational knowledge of manual/power tools.
- Skills and experience in computer systems, including hardware and CAD/CAM software. Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry 25-50 lbs. frequently, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally
