Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Carries out delegated tasks under the supervision of Registered Nurses
Conducts follow-up phone calls to patients and documents in EMR per protocol
Monitors patient needs when rooming, obtains accurate vital signs and documents actions in the medical record, as necessary
Preps exam rooms and maintains cleanliness and integrity of equipment
Assists with cleaning and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment
Assists in monitoring and maintaining adequate inventory
Follows universal precautions
Assist with administrative responsibilities including obtaining lab and imaging reports, referral information and completing forms as needed.
Adheres to all InterMed policies and procedures
Attends and participates in staff meetings
Cross trained to other specialties performed within the department
Maintains unit training requirements
Attends all safety training programs as well as practices safe and healthful work habits
Contributes to the delivery of effective patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school graduate or GED equivalent
Current Certified Nursing Assistant -Medication certification (will need to provide copy for verification)
At least 6 months of related experience is required
Current BLS required
Ability to differentiate between clean, contaminated, and sterile areas
Excellent communication skills and strong "Customer Service" orientation

Monday through Friday
