Description

Job Title: Software Tester

The work location for this position is in our Lisle, IL office.

Main Responsibilities:

• Applying past experience to inform the product roadmap.

• Experimenting with new technologies that improve software quality.

• Testing modern high-quality software - Create unit tests and perform functional testing to find bugs and confirm delivered software meets specifications and quality requirements.

• Interacting with customers for demos, feedback sessions, and support issues.

• Working closely with team architects to research and deliver new functionality.

Key Qualifications:

• Quality Assurance (QA) orientation.

• Scripting skills for test automation, such as Python or REXX.

• Experience with z/OS systems and Job Control Language (JCL).

• Knowledge of CI/CD automation software like Jenkins.

• ISTQB certificate or similar qualification.

• Experience in software testing methodologies such as BDD and TDD.

Desirable Skills:

• Assembler (HLASM), C, Metal C programming language.

• Mainframe debugging skills using IPCS, VM Trace, XDC, etc.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Experience mentoring, teaching, and developing less experienced team members.

• Complex problem-solving skills and deep expertise within the technical domain.

• Cyber Security and Compliance related topics experience.
