    Civil Structural Architectural Cary , North Carolina Full-Time Oct 28, 2021 **Summary**

    DPS is looking for a seasoned Architect that serve as the Architectural Department Manager for the Cary, NC office. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, & Science and Technology facility design and be responsible for leading the architectural team, client interaction, concept design to construction ensuring overall architectural quality. **Key Responsibilities**

    Responsible for establishing overall goals and objectives and coordinating implementation plans

    Oversees and controls operations and activities to promote achievement of the firm's objectives

    Participates in creating and positioning the firm to take advantage of opportunities for growth and marketplace expansion

    Ensures profitability, quality enhancement, and professional development

    Directs and monitors project team members and ensures high productivity

    Responsible for developing uniformly high production standards and monitoring projects to ensure that quality and production standards are met for all architecture design deliverables

    Must be thoroughly familiar with entire architectural process and possess managerial capability to lead and direct activities of all project-team personnel while monitoring technical production on all projects to ensure adherence to quality standards at high productivity

    Participates in all phases of design and provides architectural management through the entire project

    Performs analyses and reviews of design layouts. Writes reports and specifications. Reviews completed reports, plans, estimates and calculations

    Delegates work efficiently and effectively to project architectural team members. Provides technical direction to less experienced architects and architectural staff

    **Skills & Qualifications**

    Master's degree or equivalent; ten plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

    Pharma/Biotechnology or Life Sciences Architecture background

    Must have Architect License, NCARB Certificate

    Excellent verbal and written communications skills

    Strongly motivated, well organized, and shows professional initiative

    Comfortable working in a fast-paced and challenging environment

    Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

    Positive attitude, even when under pressure

    Advanced knowledge and practical application of Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
