    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead the technical development of HVAC systems for large and complex projects predominantly in academic, lab, science and technology
    • Effectively develop and manage project designs for high performance building systems for air and hydronic distribution, central heating and cooling plants and building management
    • Formulate design criteria, perform calculations, develop concept designs, specifications and construction documents for high performance building systems
    • Supervise and effectively manage technical development throughout all phases of design assuring tasks are completed in accordance with company standards and good engineering practice.
    • Understand Revit to allow leadership and direction for the design teams.
    • Attend field visits, develop visit reports, meet with contractors as necessary.
    • Collaborate, communicate and coordinate with clients and other team members.
    • Other duties as assigned

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
    • Professional Engineering license highly preferred
    • Minimum 10+ years of experience designing HVAC systems in high performance buildings. Subject matter expert in specialized fields highly preferred.
    • Experience leading HVAC teams on technically challenging projects, working in dynamic team environments.
    • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
    • Professional commitment to sustainability is highly preferred, LEED accreditation is helpful
    • Fluency in software for design, documentation, coordination, MS Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and cloud tools. Working knowledge of Revit / BIM is required.
