Job Summary: An MCRP Wellness Monitor is responsible for enforcing policies and procedures consistent with the Department Operation Manual (DOM) and California Code of Regulations, Title 15 (CCR), including documentation if necessary. A Monitor safely directs and supervises students (participants) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays, constantly remaining awake and alert, maintaining no less than a 50:1 ratio. Wellness monitors are responsible for our medication room, logging in medication, observing students self-administer medication.Essential Duties:
- Primarily assigned to the medication room, ensuring over the counter medication and first aid is stocked.
- Logging in medication to our medication logbooks
- Sending various reports to CDCR
- Report and respond to the signs of substance abuse
- Monitor the MCRP and ensure MCRP participant behavior is appropriate
- Report any suspicious behavior to the Program Director and CDCR staff
- Monitor the camera control center
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Completes other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Required: High School Diploma/G.E.D.
Certifications or Licenses:
- Required: None
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to foster teamwork and cohesiveness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Ability to operate general office equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
