    Job Title: Accounting Manager

    This position can be located in either Mequon, WI or Summerville, SC.

    Overview:

    The Accounting Manager is a critical role that oversees all aspects of accounting and cash management. This position works closely with the Controller to ensure efficient operations and compliance with GAAP.

    • Main Responsibilities:
    • Establish objectives for the accounts receivable team, monitor invoice processing, and ensure timely collection of payments.
    • Supervise the accounts receivable staff and ensure cash application and collections are timely and accurate.
    • Process account receivables and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
    • Create effective working relationships with customers and sales departments.
    • Determine credit worthiness of new and existing customers.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reports.
    • Manage projects to automate and streamline accounting functions.
    • Analyze and maintain adequate reserves for customer rebates, returns, and bad debt.
    • Serve as second-in-command of the department and backup to controller on accounting matters, including close process, reconciliations, and year-end audit.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
    • CPA certification is a plus.
    • Three to five years of accounting experience in a corporate environment.
    • Self-motivated team player with ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
    • Demonstrated initiative, judgment, tact, and diplomacy while dealing with internal and external customers.
    • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities unsupervised.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information.
    • Strong computer skills, specifically Excel (managing spreadsheets, creating charts, and using advanced formulas).
    • Experience with ERP accounting modules, notably NetSuite.

    Estimated Salary:$85,000 - $115,000 per year depending on location and experience.
