    Position Summary

    The Supervisor of Related Services is responsible for providing supervision to the Related Services Department which consists of Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Music Therapists, and other related service providers, as needed.

    The Supervisor, in conjunction with school administration, will be integral in writing, updating, and maintaining COMAR and Linwood School policies and procedures as they relate to the provision of related services.

    The Supervisor of Related Services will maintain a small caseload by providing related services according to their area of licensure.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    Provides clinical and operational oversight for all related service department functions, including caseload management, implementation of students' individualized education plans (IEPs), and overall department compliance of documentation and service provision
    Supervises and supports professional development for a team of innovative related services providers
    Holds regular department and individual provider meetings
    Conducts related service provider observations and performance appraisals
    Collaborates and engages with school leadership and administration team to improve school efficiency, maintain department compliance and ensure students' successful mastery of targeted IEP goals and objectives
    Maintain regular communication with the Education Director
    Serves as service coordinator for students receiving medical assistance
    Conduct screenings, informal assessment, and/or comprehensive standardized assessment of students' strengths and needs to develop IEPs
    Provides direct and indirect related services according to student IEP in the supervisor's area of licensure
    Adheres to student IEPs and corresponding protocols (e.g. behavior intervention plan, sensory protocol, feeding protocol, etc.)
    Works on an interdisciplinary team and collaborates with parents/families, other professionals, and school personnel
    Stays informed about latest evidence-based practices in area of licensure
    Maintains licensure and certification
    Adheres to code of ethics
    Supervises graduate students and/or clinical fellows as able and needed
    Provides in-services to staff and families regarding various aspects of the field
    Monitors and documents treatment and student progress according to state and federal regulations consistent with Medicaid requirements for reimbursement
    Works collaboratively with Medicaid Billing to ensure compliance.
    Delivers targeted, evidence-based therapeutic intervention through direct and indirect services given a caseload of students
    Completes all daily service logs, progress reports, and IEP documents within a timely manner according to facility, state, and federal guidelines
    Adheres to Linwood School policies and procedures
    May perform other duties as assigned.
    Supervisory Responsibility
    This position has supervisory responsibilities

    Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
    At least 5 years of experience as a related service provider (SLP, OT, etc.)
    Experience in public or non-public schools
    Valid license from Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
    At least 3 years of supervisory experience
    Demonstrates knowledge of the IEP process
    Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation skills
    Related Training
    CPR training will be provided by the Linwood organization. Employee must achieve and maintain certification.
    PCM training will be provided by the Linwood Center. Employee must achieve and maintain certification at the Practitioner level (or higher).

    Pay range: 80k - 90k
