Eastern Landscape Contractors is a fast growing public sector landscape construction firm performing large scale infrastructure projects throughout New Jersey and New York.
We work exclusively with state agencies, municipalities, and heavy civil general contractors on roadway improvements, municipal parks, green infrastructure systems, resiliency projects, and streetscapes.
Our leadership brings more than 30 years of public sector landscape construction experience. In just seven years, Eastern has become a trusted name in civil landscape construction across the region, and we are expanding our field teams.
The Opportunity
This role offers the opportunity to build a long term career in public sector landscape construction. You will be part of a professional field team delivering large scale government projects that require precision, coordination, and pride in workmanship.
At Eastern, landscaping means infrastructure level work. Our crews install engineered planting systems, structural soils, large caliper trees, green infrastructure components, and detailed site improvements on active public works projects.
This is steady prevailing wage work in professional construction environments where performance and reliability matter. We are growing quickly and looking to add experienced professionals to our already strong crew.
What You Will Be Doing
- Install trees and plant material per engineered plans
- Work with structural soils and specialty systems
- Perform site preparation and fine grading
- Support flatwork and hardscape installation
- Operate company vehicles and transport materials CDL A required
- Work safely on coordinated public infrastructure projects
Project locations vary by assignment and include:
- New Jersey Statewide
- New York City Five Boroughs
- New York State Orange and Putnam Counties
What We Are Looking For
Required:
- Minimum five years of landscaping experience in commercial, civil, or heavy highway markets
- Valid CDL Class A
- OSHA 10 Certification minimum
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Willingness to travel to assigned project locations
Preferred:
- Public sector project experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Flatwork or concrete experience
- Familiarity with civil construction practices
Schedule
- Eight hours per day
- Monday through Friday
- Seven thirty AM to Three thirty PM
- Occasional weekends or extended hours based on project demands
