    Job DescriptionJob details M-F with some overtime required.7:30am - 4pm$18.50.Health Insurance after 60 days of employment.Paid weekly.
    Complete tasks assigned by department manager or research associates in a timely manner. Tasks may include some or all the following:Organization of seed inventory, packaging of seed, supervised application of seed treatment, seed packet organization, mechanical planting of fields, staking of plots, tissue sample gathering, hand pollination, hoeing of weeds, hand harvest of corn ears or soybean plants, shelling of corn ears, threshing of soybean plants, light cleaning of work areas, work outdoors and indoors depending on the season, Computer data entry. Work well with a large team. Be willing to work in a busy environment. Overtime will be required depending on the season. Must be able to bend twist and lift up to 50lbs. Use proper bending, twisting, and lifting techniques. While working outdoors wear light colored clothing and sunscreen, high vs. clothing, drink water to stay hydrated, always wear proper PPE. Report any unsafe work conditions or injuries immediately.All other duties as assigned. Job QualificationsRelevant experience should include:

    • Valid driver's license that complies with Syngenta's standards.

    • Willingness to learn and work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature.
    • Must maintain a clean workstation.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy are critical.

    • Must be a self-starter with the willingness to work with or without supervision.

    • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

    • Demonstrated ability to get the job done correctly and in a timely manner.

    • Possess a proactive and positive team approach to problem resolution.

    • Must have the ability to establish strong working relationships with customers, co-workers and management.

    • Willing to gain knowledge of company methods and processes.

    • Ability to represent Syngenta in a professional manner projecting a Winning Team approach to customer service.

    Work Environment & Physical Demands:

    • May be required to wear various forms of protective equipment (shoes, gloves, protective eyewear, etc.).

    • Days per week are M- F some overtime may be required.
    • Sitting, standing, walking, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying multiple times per shift, fingering, talking, hearing, and seeing.

    • Must have the ability to handle physical inventory that requires hand dexterity.

    • May work in extreme hot or cold environments; various facilities may have dusty conditions.Dress Code:
    • Long pants, closed toe shoes, in some areas steel toe boots may be required.
    • Shirt must have sleeves and cover the midriff.
    • Use proper bending, twisting, and lifting techniques.
    • While working outdoors wear light colored clothing and sunscreen, drink water to stay hydrated, always wear proper PPE. Report any unsafe work conditions or injuries immediately.
    • All PPE is provided.
    • PPE may vary by job duty. It may include: safety glasses, gloves, closed toe/heel shoes, sunscreen and lab coat if needed.
