    Job Title: Clinical Support Nurse (CSN)

    About the Role:

    The Clinical Support Nurse (CSN) is a vital leadership position that provides expert consultation to patient care services staff in clinical situations.

    Main Responsibilities:

    1. Teaching and Support: Provide guidance and assist staff in developing advanced patient care skills, including initiating access and managing intravascular therapy.
    2. Direct Patient Care: Deliver direct care in selected complex patient situations, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.
    3. Collaboration and Communication: Engage effectively with staff and managers to reach collective decisions, promoting a culture of open communication and teamwork.

    Qualifications:

    • Nursing Education: Graduate of a professional academic nursing program; a BSN or actively pursuing a BSN is preferred.
    • Clinical Experience: A minimum of three years of recent acute care clinical experience in relevant patient populations is required.
    • Licensure: Must hold current RN registration or a limited permit to practice in New York State.

    Working Conditions:

    • Physical Demands: The role requires regular standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
    • Work Environment: Exposure to infectious materials and chemicals is possible, and remote work is not an option.
