Director of Technology/eCommerce (Shopify Plus)

My client, a distinguished player in the fashion retail domain is actively seeking a Director of Technology/eCommerce to spearhead their digital initiatives and orchestrate a major platform migration from Salesforce Commerce Cloud to Shopify Plus. This individual will play a pivotal role in propelling the company's digital evolution, ensuring peak system performance, and leveraging technology for maximum business advancement.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Steering the tech strategy, leading digital initiatives, and orchestrating a seamless transition to Shopify Plus.
• Designing and implementing a scalable technology framework adaptable to growth and industry dynamics.
• Managing an in-house team of Web/Shopify Developers, fostering growth, and optimizing productivity.
• Analyzing and reporting on key technology metrics, ensuring system stability and security.
• Owning the entire web stack, including integrations with new technology partners and developing reporting tools for the eCommerce team.
• Monitoring technology performance metrics and benchmarking against industry standards.

Who You Are:

• 6+ years of experience in developing and architecting eCommerce/Shopify Plus sites, prioritizing design, speed, and performance.
• 5 years of experience in full-stack development.
• Proficiency in front-end and back-end languages, along with API integration best practices within the Shopify ecosystem.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services and experience in database management, ETL processes, and report generation.
• Proven success in implementing PIM systems for extensive product catalogs, enhancing data quality and efficiency.
• Ability to craft strategic web development roadmaps aligned with business objectives, considering technical debt and resource constraints.
• Direct experience working with Shopify Plus.
