Job Summary
The Recreation Therapist will be responsible for independently developing implementing and delivering recreation therapy services to individuals with substance use disorders and mental health conditions. This position includes providing various recreation services to individuals and groups modifying activities consistent with the function level physical ability and or rehabilitative and clinical needs of individuals reviewing and evaluating program effectiveness recommending program changes or specialized activities as needed participating in treatment plan review sessions maintaining individual records documentation arranging transportation meeting facility recreational activity needs maintaining equipment researching purchasing new supplies acting point person contractors suppliers performing other duties assigned.Responsibilities
- Provide various recreation services to individuals and groups.
- Modify activities consistent with the function level physical ability and/or rehabilitative and clinical needs of individuals.
- Review evaluate program effectiveness recommend changes or specialized activities as needed.
