- Experience performing Electroencephalogram (EEG) and evoked potential studies.
- Recognition of ictal and inter-ictal electrographic patterns.
- Ability to manage clinical seizure and/or other medical emergencies as required.
- Prepares patient for procedures as appropriate to requirements; explains procedures to patients and positions patients as appropriate to prescribed procedure; assists patients at end of procedure.
- May take mobile unit to patient's room or other setting to perform procedures, as appropriate to the operational context of the specific position.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
- High School diploma or equivalent required;
- Completion of a certified END program,
- Knowledge in all phases of EEG testing, long-term monitoring and neuro ICU experience also required.
- Board Certified ABRET or Registry eligible preferred
- At least 3 year's experience in a hospital setting, performing routine and complex EEG's.
- Proficient with Pediatric, Adult & Geriatric patients
