Job summary
We are looking for a talented Technician Apprentice to join our team specializing in Power Generation for our Distribution Business in Manassas, VA. To be successful in this role you will need the following: Passionate about working with your hands Ability to work with small hand tools while maintaining overall safety Ability to stand for prolonged periods Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities High Voltage / Low Voltage experience Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.Responsibilities
- Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.
- Diagnostics Application - Translates customer complaints to develop troubleshooting plan; troubleshoots issue following guided work flows, procedures, specialized equipment such as mechanical and electronic service tools, and diagnoses computer software to isolate failed components to enable a successful repair; validates repair by duplicating complaint to ensure it has been resolved; documents results of troubleshooting in business systems
