- Manage complex, multi-faceted, appellate, and commercial litigation cases with significant impact for our financial services clients.
- Independently prepare appellate briefs, motions, pleadings, responses, and other documents.
- Litigate cases before New York trial and appellate courts.
- Research, draft, and analyze federal, state and local regulations or laws.
- Develop legal strategies and provide internal and client strategy recommendations.
- Manage appellate deadlines.
- Prepare for and attend escalated court appearances including, hearings and appellate arguments.
- No annual billable requirements.
- Flexible hybrid in-office schedule; would consider full-time virtual schedule for the proper candidate.
- Appellate experience at the state level and familiarity with appellate rules.
- Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.
- Sophisticated knowledge of the rules of civil procedure.
- Ability to work in collaboration with other team members.
- Strong worth ethic and clear interest in appellate and motion practice.
- Experience managing deadlines and caseload.
- New York barred for 3+ years.
- Bachelor's Degree required
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Membership in the New York bar
- 3+ years of litigation experience
