- Transporting Goods: Youll be delivering sod from the farm in Bay City to various locations in the Houston area, as well as Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, and San Antonio.
- Safety and Efficiency: Youll load and safely secure the sod using tarp straps, ensuring that it remains intact during transit. Unloading each delivery safely and efficiently is crucial.
- Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Regularly inspect the truck for mechanical issues and safety concerns. Performing preventative maintenance is essential to keep the vehicle in good working condition.
- Route Planning and Timeliness: Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules. Youll need to comply with truck driving rules and regulations, including size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods.
- Maneuvering Skills: Maneuver the truck into loading or unloading positions at various delivery points.
- Communication and Verification: Collect and verify delivery instructions, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries. Report any defects, accidents, or violations promptly.
- Presentation: Keep the truck clean and presentable, representing the company well during deliveries.
- Shifts: Evening and night shift
- Manual Driving: Proficiency in driving a manual transmission vehicle is essential.
- Experience: Proven work experience as a truck driver is valuable.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with applicable truck driving rules and regulations is necessary.
- Clean Driving Record: No major violations on your driving record.
- Adaptability: Be prepared to handle unexpected situations such as traffic or adverse weather conditions.
- CDL A License: A valid CDL A license without automatic restrictions is required.
- Equipment Experience: Forklift and piggyback forklift experience (preferred).
- Cell Phone: Having a cell phone is necessary for communication and navigation.

We have competitive pay, and you will be home every night with your family. We are farming over 700 acres of sod in the Houston area and looking to expand.Location:
Trucks are based out of Bay City, Texas. You must be able to drive to the farm in Bay City to pick up the truck from the farm and deliver grass to the greater Houston area.
