We are recruiting for a dynamic Database Architect to play a pivotal role in expanding and optimizing the backend of our next generation reporting stack and data model.

As a Database Architect, you will lead the technical development and innovation of our database environment, collaborating closely with IT Engineers and BI Developers to elevate our systems to new levels of efficiency and effectiveness.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the technical development and innovation of the database environment, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
Curate database environments to facilitate seamless integration with our DevOps process, enabling efficient development and deployment workflows.
Evaluate incoming requests for their impact on existing systems and recommend appropriate solutions.
Collaborate with BI and IT leadership to shape the future of DevOps practices of the Client.
Diagnose and resolve environment issues in coordination with the IT Engineering team to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
Maintain up-to-date documentation of database objects and optimizations to ensure clarity and consistency.
Assist Development staff in managing their work through SQL Source Control.
Translate business requirements into database schema design, leveraging data warehousing experience to create robust solutions.


QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in building SQL optimizations for enhanced performance and scalability.
Proficiency in DevOps SQL environments with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience.
Strong expertise in configuring database environments and optimizing processes.
Experience with SQL Server Data Tools suite, Visual Studio Database Projects, and SQL Server IAM administration.
Self-starting, results-oriented team player with a passion for collaborative development.


PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience optimizing memory utilization in database environments.
Proficiency in optimizing SQL Server/Python interactivity.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps and its integration into development workflows.
Experience in highly parameterized ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) environments.
Experience with translating business requirements into database schema design.
