- Review medical procedures as documented by doctors.
- Translate medical procedures into codes for payers, other medical coders, and medical facilities.
- Transmit coded patient treatment information to payers and other recipients.
- Coordinate insurance reimbursements and handle patient billing efficiently.
- Manage the reception of patient treatment codes for assembling reimbursement claims.
- Create and transfer reimbursement claims to third-party payers.
- Ensure accurate billing of patients for medical services.
- Maintain an organized and detailed approach to managing patient files and documents.
- Communicate effectively with patients and insurance carriers, upholding excellent phone etiquette.
- Proven experience in family medicine billing and coding.
- Proficient in Medicare Advantage billing and coding.
- Expertise in credentialing medical providers.
- Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills to ensure accuracy.
