    Position Summary

    The Intern, Translational Sciences under guidance, will contribute to the development of pipelines for the bioinformatic analysis of multi-omic translational data. This position in based in Santa Monica, CA and reports to a Senior Scientist.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Write code and create pipelines to analyze NGS data.
  • Design code to integrate multi-omic clinical data.
  • Mine databases to support development of new projects.
  • Document procedures and results accurately with great attention to detail.
  • Collaborate internally with scientists.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • No supervisory responsibilities.

    Required Skills/Abilities
  • Proficiency in Phyton and R.
  • Strong use of clean code principles.
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services or other cloud-based computing environments.
  • Basic understanding of NGS data workflow.
  • Familiarity with existing bioinformatics tools for data analysis.
  • A strong interest in immunology and/or immunotherapy is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced company environment.

    Education and Experience
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in related scientific discipline.
