- Sets up and provides technical support for lab equipment
- Troubleshoots equipment problems and repairs equipment, i.e., loads software on computers, installs and removes device drivers, adds or deletes printers, performs hard disk management
- Maintains and calibrates mechanical and electronic test equipment
- Configures hardware and software
- Monitors and assists patrons by explaining and enforcing lab policies and procedures to ensure proper utilization of lab equipment
- Assists instructors during lab sessions and with the design and testing of new lab experiments (Mostly mechanical assistance)
- Orders, receives, stores supplies and ensures proper maintenance of lab equipment
- Provides functional supervision to assigned part-time staff and student employees
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Associate's degree in an engineering discipline
- Minimum of three years of engineering industry experience
- General working knowledge of DC & AC Theory, Analog and Digital Electronics, Micro-computer fundamentals, Mechanical Drives, Machining, CNC Equipment, Hand tools and Machine repair
- Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Possess basic proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Possess strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Ability to foster a team environment and work collaboratively
- Ability to work accurately with great attention to detail
- Possess excellent customer service skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships

- Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite
