    Description

    Job Summary:

    Responsible for providing therapy to patients in need of mental health services with rapid access to care through models of engagement and delivery of evidence-based practices. Participates in the evaluation and treatment of patients while working towards encouraging participation with ongoing mental health care decisions and services as appropriate.

    Work Location: Fort Cavazos (1 hour from North Austin)

    Job Duties:

    Provides care by evaluating and providing diagnostic impressions and treatment.

    1. Coordinates with referring physician, individuals, and family members throughout the treatment and performs crisis intervention as needed.

    2. Records all sessions according to protocols for supervision, feedback, and quality assurance checks.

    3. Monitors patients for suicidal/homicidal intent and ensures patient safety if necessary.

    4. Collaborates with project coordinators and administrative assistants to coordinate patient visits.

    5. Attends appropriate training workshops, interdisciplinary meetings and client staffing as required.

    6. Conduct individual and group therapy sessions as needed.

    7. Performs all other duties as assigned.

    Education:

    Master's degree with major coursework in the field of assignment is required.

    Experience cannot be substituted for degree.

    Experience:

    Three years related experience is required.

    Additional Licenses and Certifications:

    LPC or LCSW License is required.

    License to practice mental health counseling independently in the State of Texas is required.

    Supervisory Requirements:

    Has the authority to direct the work of others, hire or fire employees, or provide recommendations as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or any other change of status of other employee.
