We re hiring our first dedicated DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of our AWS infrastructure bringing dedicated focus and deeper expertise than generalist engineers can provide
- Evolove our Terraform codebase improve patterns reduce drift enhance modularityOwn and improve our GitLab CI CD pipelines optimizing for speed safety and developer experiencePartner with engineering teams on infrastructure needs and operational best practicesEstablish monitoring alerting and observability standardsLead incident response drive root cause analysisOwn our cloud security posture IAM policies network security secrets management access controlsImplement mature security tooling vulnerability scanning dependency auditing SAST DASTPartner with compliance to ensure infrastructure meets regulatory requirementsDrive security best practices across engineering teamsRespond to investigate security eventsWhat We re Looking ForRequired8 years in DevOps SRE or infrastructure engineering with meaningful security experienceDeep expertise with AWS EC2 ECS EKS RDS Lambda IAM VPC networking KMS etcStrong experience with Terraform at scaleStrong experience with GitLab CI CD and git workflowsSolid understanding of cloud security principles least privilege network segmentation encryption at rest in transitExperience containerization Docker Kubernetes or ECSComfortable being the first dedicated person in this functionPreferredExperience fintech regulated industriesFamiliarity compliance frameworks SOC 2 PCI DDSExperience implementing security tooling in CI CD pipelinesBackground database operations PostgreSQL MySQLPersonal AttributesSelf directed strong technical judgment security minded by default improves what they inherit rather than rewriting for the sake of it effective communicatorSuccessSuccess meansinfrastructure and security that gets dedicated expert attention improved reliability asecuity posture faster safer deployments engineerinng teams trust the platform passing audits without fire drillsIt also means providing technical leadership proactively setting feature developers up for success through education tooling automation establishing long term improvement plans for out infrastucture
