Job summary
The Clinical Technician provides direct patient care under the direction of a nurse and performs other tasks necessary for unit operations.Essential duties and responsibilities include demonstrating ability to perform, assist, reinforce, and deliver patient care; managing multiple patient care assignments based on unit acuity and staffing levels; receiving report from primary care partner; instructing/reinforcing appropriate patient care activities under licensed professional direction;
responding timely to all patient requests/communicating to appropriate caregiver when necessary;
demonstrating ability to recognize/emergency measures including CPR when indicated (
- assists in repositioning immobile patients with medical equipment
- monitors food/water intake/output
- assists with application of simple dressings utilizing aseptic technique
