    Opportunity:

    RN - Med Surg Tele

    Job Details:


    • Work 4x12 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

    • Every other weekend requirement

    • Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for Med Surg patients

    • Float to Med Surg units as required

    • Care for 26-bed unit specializing in post PCI, pacemaker, AICD, and post MI patients

    • Manage cardiac pharmacological interventions and monitoring

    • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias with rapid response/code team participation

    • Provide IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management

    • Handle respiratory care including nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, and portable oxygen tanks

    • Maintain isolation precautions and infection control protocols

    • Required certifications: BLS

    • Must have NY license in hand - no exceptions

    • Epic charting system experience required

    • Minimum 1 year Med Surg/Tele experience required

    • Previous charge experience required

    • Travel experience required

    • Must live more than 75 miles from facility

    • Scrub color: Any combination of navy and white

    • 12 hours of orientation provided

    • Up to 5 hours of billable modules required pre-start

    Facility:

    This tertiary care hospital operates 528 staffed beds and provides comprehensive medical services to the community. The facility specializes in advanced cardiac care and complex medical cases, featuring a 39-bed Med Surg Telemetry unit that focuses on post-cardiac procedure patients and cardiac monitoring. The hospital maintains modern equipment and technology, utilizing Epic charting systems and offering extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.

    Adex Job ID # Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
