- Patient Evaluation and Diagnosis:
- Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests.
- Diagnose and evaluate various cardiovascular conditions.
- Treatment Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients with heart-related disorders.
- Prescribe medications, lifestyle modifications, and other interventions to manage and treat cardiovascular conditions.
- Patient Education:
- Educate patients on their cardiovascular conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle changes.
- Provide guidance on risk factor management, including diet, exercise, and smoking cessation.
- Monitoring and Follow-up:
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Conduct regular follow-up appointments to assess intervention effectiveness and address patient concerns.
- Cardiac Procedures:
- Perform and interpret diagnostic cardiac procedures, such as angiograms and catheterizations.
- Refer patients for specialized interventions, including angioplasty or cardiac surgery, when necessary.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Teams:
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, including nurses, technologists, and specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Research and Continuing Education:
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in cardiology through continuous learning.
- Engage in clinical research to contribute to the field's knowledge and improve patient outcomes.
- Adherence to Ethical and Regulatory Standards:
- Adhere to ethical standards and regulations governing medical practice.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records and treatment plans.
- Emergency Cardiac Care:
- Provide emergency cardiac care as needed, including responding to cardiac emergencies and participating in on-call rotations.
- Board certification in cardiology fellowship trained.
- Valid medical license and compliance with state of Vermont.
- Proven experience as a General Cardiologist.
