- Help faculty develop, design, and deliver course materials and educational activities.
- Prepare and create instructional technology training and materials to assist faculty, students, and administration.
- Offer frontline support for faculty and students in using technologies across various courses.
- Support the College's mission.
- Exemplify and encourage professional conduct towards the College and its stakeholders.
- Report to the Senior Instructional Technologist.
- Collaborate with faculty, academic deans, directors, educational administrators, IT staff, systems administrator, and educational technology personnel.
- Support faculty in developing course materials, educational activities, and technology training.
- Provide one-on-one training to faculty on LMS (D2L Brightspace) and its features.
- Participate in software training module planning, design, and implementation.
- Engage in faculty mentoring and new faculty orientations.
- Contribute to College committees and task forces as needed.
- Stay updated on new instructional technology and faculty development opportunities through research and collaborations.
- Complete other assigned projects and tasks.
- Coordinate faculty development activities for academic programs.
- Identify faculty development needs in collaboration with academic deans, directors, and faculty.
- Establish and maintain a schedule of training opportunities for faculty.
- Organize on-campus or virtual inservices, external speakers, and teaching forums.
- Evaluate faculty development programs with feedback.
- Communicate with the Senior Instructional Technologist verbally and in writing.
- Receive feedback from faculty, staff, administrators, and other stakeholders.
- Undergo an annual performance review by the Senior Instructional Technologist.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Adaptability to changing technologies.
- Ability to collaborate with individuals of diverse skills and backgrounds.
- Professionalism in all interactions.
- Handle confidentiality with discretion.
- Work independently with interruptions.
- Resolve routine and crisis situations promptly.
- Demonstrate problem-solving, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in education, Instructional Technology, or related field preferred.
- One to three years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems, especially D2L Brightspace.
- Ability to train faculty and staff in web-based tools/applications.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies is advantageous.

Hourly rate: $30.22 to $31.32

General Description:
The Instructional Technologist aids faculty and students in utilizing technological tools for teaching, testing, scholarly activities, and student assessment across different platforms. Understanding technology as a teaching tool is crucial. This position demands full-time commitment of 35 hours per week to the College.
