    Required Related Experience: 1 yr or currently completing a formal Emergency Medicine residency program.

    Required License/Registration/Certification:
    Shift: Night shift.

    Job Summary:

    The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Kentucky is currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to function as a night shift Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

    This position will improve the capacity of the clinical practice, provide enhanced monitoring of clinically complex patients, and contribute to excellence in patient care and patient satisfaction.

    This includes obtaining patient health histories, reviewing outside records, and performing complete physical examinations, as well as documenting findings noting pertinent normal and abnormal findings.

    Patient education will also be an essential function, and this position will be required to explain the necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated effects of therapy to patients, patient's family, staff, and healthcare learners.


    Preferred Education/Experience:
    MSN or BS in Physician Assistant Studies + 1 year – Emergency Medicine
