    Position Summary:

    A medical director is responsible for monitoring and improving the level of care provided and help reduce operating costs of a healthcare facility over time.

    Medical directors are also responsible for participant care, clinical outcomes, and the implementation and oversight of the quality assessment and performance improvement program.

    Additionally, the medical director will work closely with the executive management team to implement strategies that enhance patient care and improve the medical practice.


    Position Qualifications:
    Valid license to practice medicine requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills10+ years' experience in clinical medicineAble to enter information in the NCHC EHS system and compile reports or data as requested5+ years' experience in a hospital administration roleSuperb judgment, problem-solving, and cognitive skillsStrong interpersonal skillsCurrent knowledge of chronic care/geriatric issues and best practicesSuperior leadership skills

    Position Duties:
    Work directly with providers to educate them on our care process and determine what can be done to improve overall care qualityAct as the medical expert in dealings with vendors and non-medical facilities that work within the organizationManage the number of activities related to the delivery of medical care and clinical services such as cost management, utilization review, quality assurance, and medical protocol developmentParticipate in various administrative, clinical staff meetingsMaintain confidentiality of all information related to participants, medical staff, and employeesDemonstrate positive interpersonal relations in dealing with fellow employees, supervisorsOversee the activities of group physicians, including the recruiting and credentialing processesDevelop policies and proceduresObtain CAQH CredentialingApplicability: This policy applies to all Sanctuary Recovery Centers personnel and residents#J-18808-Ljbffr
