    Using thorough research and analytical skills, the Application Associate will support our Vice President in researching and preparing finance applications for federal, state, and local governments. Any prior knowledge of, and experience with, LIHTC programs is incredibly useful.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Research sources of construction and permanent financing from public sources
    • Research, analyze and interpret Qualified Action Plans and federal, state, and local government affordable housing program rules and regulations
    • Assist with preparation and submittal of funding applications to federal, state, and local government finance agencies
    • Search for development opportunities using search engines for Request For Qualifications and Request For Proposals, conduct preliminary screening, analyze opportunities, and assist in the preparation of the application for submission
    • Assist in research and data collection and updating records for mapping projects using Google Earth, Google Maps
    • Facilitate an efficient proposal/application production process
    • Assist the team with underwriting, closing, and stabilization of properties
    • Maintain pertinent paper and electronic files and records by naming conventions, ensuring complete, accurate, and organized files
    • Attend meetings and workshops as necessary
    • Perform related duties as required
    Requirements:
    • Must have Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field
    • Must have high proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Earth.
    • Must have demonstrated attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience with State or federal housing programs, particularly the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program under Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code, is a strong plus.
    • Some travel (overnight) and the ability to work flexible hours to meet deadlines required
