We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 9th Grade Math Teacher to join Explore Academy in Rio Rancho. This dynamic role involves inspiring students to develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, fostering critical thinking, and encouraging a love for learning. Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and discrete math aligned with curriculum standards.
• Develop innovative instructional materials and lesson plans that cater to varied learning needs and promote active participation.
• Utilize learning technology effectively to enhance student understanding and engagement in math concepts.
• Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparation.
• Manage classroom behavior proactively to create a positive, respectful learning environment conducive to academic growth.
• Provide individualized tutoring and academic advising to support students struggling with math concepts or coursework.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and integration of science topics such as biology or chemistry when applicable.
• Participate in professional development opportunities related to higher education teaching methods, special education strategies, or research-based instructional practices.
• Mentor students in scientific research projects or extracurricular activities related to mathematics or science disciplines.
• Engage with parents and guardians through clear communication about student progress and classroom expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
• Proven classroom experience teaching 9th-grade mathematics or similar age groups with demonstrated classroom management skills.
• Strong knowledge of math topics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, differential equations, discrete math, and molecular biology as applicable.
• Experience with curriculum development, instructional design, and integrating learning technology tools.
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and effective tutoring techniques for diverse learners.
• Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
• Background in laboratory experience or research laboratory settings is advantageous for integrating scientific inquiry into lessons.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies for special education needs or private school environments is preferred.
