    Job Description

    The Janitorial and GMP Supervisor will provide daily supervision of contracted janitorial team. The position requires strict adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) while providing day- to day support to janitorial operations. The position will work to develop best practices for cleaning procedures and ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 3 years of related experience (based on Radford Level).
    • Associates Degree in Life Sciences or similar subject preferred.
    • Will spend majority of time in clean room environment and will be required to meet applicable gowning and PPE guidelines.
    • Must be willing to work holidays, weekends, and over-time as needed.
    • Position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

    Major Accountabilities

    • Responsible for overseeing the daily, biweekly and quarterly cleaning and area sanitization in GMP areas, laboratories, warehouses, office areas and other spaces as required.
    • Responsible for ensuring non-routine incursion cleanings are performed per strict timelines and SOP requirements.
    • Responsible for reviewing cleaning logbooks for accuracy and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to ensure records are maintained contemporaneously.
    • Manage janitorial and GMP cleaning inventory ordering and staging.
    • Collaborate with Bioprocessing, Quality, Warehouse, Laboratory, and Facility team members to schedule cleaning activities.
    • Participate in the janitorial related SOP review and revisions to ensure best practices.
    • Develop, deliver, and manage janitorial contractor training and training requirements.
    • Conduct frequent walk throughs to verify effectiveness of cleaning and accuracy of documentation. Support EHSS by managing janitorial related job hazard analyses, Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), chemical management, and recycling.
