This position will report to the Rough Mill Supervisor.Minimum requirements:
Minimum three years of experience on wood moulding machines is required. We hire candidates with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Competencies include:
Leadership, Problem Solving/Analysis, Results Driven, Communication Proficiency, Time Management and Technical Capacity.
The moulder operator position is responsible for set-up and production of millwork. This line of business is crucial to the company and a major output of Precision Wood Products. Experience on this machine and in the wood industry is an essential qualification.
Tasks Set up, program, and operate computer assisted or manual moulder machines.
Examine finished workpieces for quality:
smoothness, depth-of-cut, or conformity to specifications. Verify dimensions, both visually and using calipers, templates, or samples. Start machines, adjust controls, and make trial cuts to ensure that machinery is set-up and operating properly. Monitor operation of machines during runs and make adjustments to correct problems and ensure conformance to specifications. Examine raw material for defects and to ensure conformity to size and other specification standards.
