    Under broad supervision, executes the continuous improvement strategy and approach by translating business objectives into actionable projects. Engages with other departments to sustain, improve, and streamline all processes with a primary focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. As part of the Continuous Improvement Team, supervises change agents and team members on medium-sized project tasks. Role typically requires between 3 and 5 years of experience.

    - Fully Accept, Understand and Teach the Fontaine Modification Co. Operating System

    concepts and systematic approach including:

    • SQDCM strategy development and deployment, core components such as Setting Goals and Targets, Data Tracking and Charting of Key Indicators, and Formal Corrective Action.
    - Identify and create Standard Processes throughout the organization/facility.

    - Promote LEAN techniques and process management.

    - Lead process improvement workshops and improvement projects to drive business

    results across the organization.

    - Eliminate waste and non-value-add by using problem solving techniques to identify

    and eliminate root cause.

    - Partner with all departments/functions to define process capabilities, assess gaps, and

    develop gap closure plans.

    - Plan and facilitate KAIZEN activities/events across the designated areas/facilities.

    - Plan, coordinate, and teach LEAN tools to employees across the designated

    area/facility.

    - Create communication and manage process for Continuous Improvement projects for

    specific areas/facilities including using project tools and updates.

    - Lead work station design / 5S standardized work.

    - Assist in developing layouts for material staging to support manufacturing operations.

    - Assist in developing material kitting strategies and containers to support LEAN and

    efficient production operations.

    - Assist in developing min/max material level strategies for both production areas and

    warehousing of parts.

    - Assist in developing production area stocking requirements and material presentation

    in production cells to minimize non-value-added activities.

    - Clearly state that the process which is developed will be the new process, not just a

    recommendation.

    - Do everything possible to support the new process.

    - Share results and "best practices" across all facilities.

    - Create facility Operational Excellence Boards for each area/facility as designated.

    Measure, Improve, and Maintain efficiency and quality in the work setting through

    evaluating current practices and processes, looking for ways to improve productivity,

    reduce costs, and make the best use of all business resources.
