    Finance Manager - contract to hire

    Seattle, WA. - hybrid (3 days on-site per week)

    Finance Manager is an induvial contributor, who will be responsible for working with senior management to develop financial strategies for the organization. You are comfortable handling large amounts of data, acting as a business partner, decision maker, and providing regular financial reporting.

    Responsibilities

    Build and maintain departmental budgets with business partners driving process improvements, reporting automation and efficiencies in both the business and accounting/finance functions

    Maintain accurate financial and accounting data through various reporting systems for expenses

    Establish, maintain and report monthly financial metrics and KPI's and suggest recommendations

    Oversee accounts payable processing and liaise with internal contract management team to ensure timely and compliant payment processing

    Partner with department leads as needed to support and communicate results in an effective and professional manner

    Key member to implement and monitor month, quarter and year-end close

    Maintain accurate headcount forecasting plans in conjunction with Human Resources

    Work with the Head of Finance to increase operational efficiencies; implement, document, and manage processes as required for operations; assist with special projects

    Ad hoc research, modeling, and reporting

    Other duties as needed

    Qualifications

    5+ years in Finance with emphasis on budgeting, forecasting, planning, variance analysis, and strong modeling and analytical skills

    Experience with cost allocation models and implementation in ERP

    Strong knowledge of financial concepts/practices/procedures

    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred

    Working knowledge of GAAP accounting and concepts

    Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills

    Strong working experience with NetSuite and other reporting systems is preferred

    Systems aptitude and ability to understand, establish and improve processes

    Role has frequent exposure to senior leadership, and therefore must possess excellent analytical, conceptual, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills

    Work well in a fast paced, team-oriented, dynamic and matrix environment

    Must be curious, accurate, and detail oriented

    Nice to Have

    Experience in a rapidly scaling startup environment and the ability to thrive amidst rapid change

    Experience in video game development or web3 considered a plus
