    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The Cardiac PCU Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

    What you will do in this role:

    • Assess Patient Condition: During admission and during each shift, identify and report any changes in patient status.
    • Perform Procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
    • Document Administration of Care: Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
    • Administer Prescribed Medications and monitors response.
    • Maintain Knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

    Qualifications

    We require:

    • Nursing Degree: Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
    • Clinical Experience: Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.
    • License: Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
    • Certification: Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
