- Full-cycle processing of semi-monthly payroll for approximately 200 employees (mostly salaried), ensuring accuracy of pay, labor allocations, deductions, and tax withholdings in both the payroll system and ERP system.
- Monitor and ensure timeliness and accuracy of timecard submission and approvals. This includes accuracy of coding.
- Maintain payroll system data including employee status changes, benefit deductions, accruals, and tax updates. This includes set up of new employees and terminations.
- Prepare payroll and benefit journal entries and reconciliations, including comparing benefits invoices to payroll withholdings to identify and resolve any issues.
- Respond to employee and manager inquiries related to payroll, deductions, and pay adjustments.
- Support audits, workers' compensation reporting, and benefits contribution reporting as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and related tax filings.
- Track and maintain employee leave (vacation, personal, sick) balances.
- Assist with annual ACA Reporting.

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience; construction payroll experience strongly preferred.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred
- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour compliance, and payroll reporting requirements.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information is a must.
- Strong understanding and time management skills to meet payroll deadlines.
- Experience with ADP payroll system and Vista by Viewpoint ERP system preferred, as well as strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with employees, field staff, and management.
