- Design and delivery experience of performant software and ad tech systems, familiarity with cloud services with proficiency in programming

- Strong communication skills and ability to lead tech teams.
- Experience with performance monitoring and optimization tools
- Experience implementing Data science models and ML.
- Familiarity with programmatic, ad exchanges, DSP, SSP is a plus.

Position Purpose:
As the Distinguished Engineer, Retail Media+, you will be the technical leader for a skilled team of software engineers in their work to develop, maintain and extend Home Depot's AdTech software services.
Our tech team is building out the Ads infrastructure at Home Depot to help advertisers reach their target audience as well as end customers to have the best experience with products and services offered at Home Depot.
An ideal candidate must have deep expertise of core ad tech components such as ad servers, campaign management, auctions, bidding, pacing, yield optimization, targeting systems.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Technical Leadership:
Lead a team of principal engineers and help guide the engineering team to create scalable and highly performant implementation for the ad tech platform, including the integration of 3P services.
Help resolve complex technical issues and ambiguity, own the multi-year technical roadmap, ensure technically correct implementation of key business requirements.
Provide mentorship to engineers to drive achieve technical excellence.Architecture and Data:
Guide the architecture and the implementation of RM data services and management, ensuring efficient data processing, storage, and retrieval.
Work closely with Data Engineering, Data Science and Enterprise teams for delivering integrated solutions.Champion a data driven culture in the team including the adoption of tools and analytics to help with debugging, monitoring and observability.
Drive collaboration and best practices:
Foster collaboration via cross-functional teams, including the broader enterprise architects, product, and the business to help deliver efficient solutions while increasing velocity for the teams.
Help drive the adoption of technical best practices, improve operational excellence, participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and continuous improvement.
Thought Leadership:
Represent Home Depot in technical conferences, presentations, participate in industry standards, monitor emerging technologies, and best practices in ad tech, and help guide internal adoption and implementation.
