    Credentialing Specialist

    Position Overview:
    • GTT is seeking a dedicated Credentialing Specialist to join our Healthcare Staffing Practice team.
    • This position plays a crucial role in ensuring healthcare professionals are properly vetted and credentialed according to both industry standards and client-specific requirements.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Credentialing and Re-Credentialing: Manage the credentialing and re-credentialing process for healthcare professionals, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
    • Verification: Conduct primary source verifications for licenses, certifications, education, training, and employment history.
    • Database Maintenance: Maintain and update all credentials in the database system, ensuring timely renewals and expiration tracking.
    • Compliance: Stay updated with the latest industry regulations and standards.
    • Ensure all credentials meet the specific requirements of healthcare facilities and regulatory bodies.
    • Document Management: Organize, file, and manage all credentialing documents, ensuring easy retrieval when needed.
    • Collaboration: Coordinate with the recruitment and placement teams to ensure a smooth workflow and timely placement of healthcare professionals.
    • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to credentials, seeking input from relevant parties as needed.
    • Continuous Improvement: Recommend process improvements for the credentialing system, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
    • Previous experience in credentialing, preferably within the healthcare staffing industry.
    • Familiarity with Joint Commission, NCQA, and other relevant accreditation and standards.
    • Proficient with credentialing software and databases.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) designation.
    • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
