Job Title: Sr Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Systems Engineer to support one of our premier programs in the business unit. This role will utilize your knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle, roles and functions, with specific experience in clarification of requirements, system engineering analyses, algorithm development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification.

The successful candidate will provide technical analyses and define how the system works creating use cases, decompose requirements, define system interfaces and help determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team, provide engineering support for the execution of a portion of the program's test program, including test processes and baseline definition, test architecture design, verification, and validation, and support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical analyses and define how the system works creating use cases
Decompose requirements, define system interfaces and help determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team
Provide engineering support for the execution of a portion of the program's test program, including test processes and baseline definition, test architecture design, verification, and validation
Support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline

Qualifications:

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 5+ years of prior relevant experience
Ability to obtain a Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle, roles and functions, with specific experience in one or more of the following areas: operations concept development, requirements management, functional analysis/synthesis, interface definition and control, and/or verification and validation
Development experience on a government contract
Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps development methods
Good oral and written communication skills as well as good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Satellite Command/Control, Mission Management or Planning
Experience with Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.)
Experience working with requirements in DOORS or other requirements databases
Experience working in DevOps and/or DevSecOps in an Agile development environment
Scripting knowledge (eg: Pytheon)
