    Summary:


    As a Safety/EHS Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in environmental health and safety (EHS) practices within a manufacturing setting.

    Under the guidance of our experienced EHS team, you will assist in implementing safety programs, conducting inspections, and promoting a culture of safety among our employees.


    In This Role, You'll Have the Opportunity To:

    • Assist in conducting safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
    • Support the investigation of accidents, near misses, and incidents, and contribute to the development of corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote safety awareness and best practices throughout the organization.
    • Assist in maintaining safety-related documentation and records, including incident reports, training records, and safety data sheets.
    • Contribute to emergency preparedness plans and participate in drills or exercises to test response procedures.
    • Stay current on relevant EHS regulations and industry standards to provide input on continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the EHS Manager.
    Requirements


    What You Need to Succeed:

    • Be currently enrolled in a degree program related to Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
    • Strong interest in pursuing a career in EHS or a related field within the manufacturing industry.
    • Knowledge of basic safety principles and regulations preferred.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene or similar
