    Paralegal

    You'll work with experienced legal and business teams (in-house and outside) on a stimulating array of matters, from real estate and business contracts to litigation management, compliance, employee relations, 401k administration, and other areas of the company's business.

    We have two corporate offices, one in Brentwood and one in Artesia. There may be some flexibility in working partially from home.

    This is a full-time position.

    The ideal candidate has experience with real estate leases, managing litigation being handled by outside legal counsel, contract review and administration, legal compliance, and employee relations matters.

    You should have excellent organizational skills, be attentive to details, be a good communicator, and enjoy collaborating with others.


    Responsibilities:
    Provide comprehensive legal support to the legal department and dental practices within the organization.
    Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements, including vendor contracts, leases, employment agreements, and service agreements.
    Assist the Human Resources Department with regard to employee relations matters
    Participate in securing various types of insurance coverages and claims submissions under those policies

    Assist in the preparation and filing of documents with governing bodies, such as the California Dental Board, the Department of Health Care Services, and others.

    Conduct legal research and analysis on various topics, including healthcare regulations and compliance issues.
    Manage corporate governance matters, including maintaining corporate records, preparing board resolutions, and facilitating corporate filings.
    Coordinate with external legal counsel on litigation matters, regulatory compliance, and other legal issues as needed.
    Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
    Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on legal matters and best practices.


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree from a four-year college

    Minimum of three years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or a private company where you obtained substantial exposure to and had significant involvement in legal matters such as leases, contracts, and litigation management.

    Paralegal certification preferred.
    Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
    Team player with a collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
