Today, we have a unique opportunity to revolutionize the treatment of severe endocrine, oncology, metabolism and neurology disorders and aim to deliver better outcomes for the people affected by them.

    We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts for an emerging therapeutic area. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of the strategic marketing plan and all related activities. They will play a crucial role in engaging with and building relationships with patient advocacy groups, healthcare professionals and other key external stakeholders. This position will drive engagement and collaboration with the internal teams to ensure alignment on marketing strategies and execution. This position requires broad marketing skills, the ability to lead and collaborate effectively, as well as the ability to adapt to changing market dynamics and to new therapeutic areas if necessary.

    Responsibilities:
    • Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan and comprehensive marketing tactics for the ALS program
    • Build relationships and execute marketing tactics with patient advocacy groups, healthcare professionals and other key stakeholders within the ALS community
    • Develop and execute disease state education initiatives to raise awareness and build relationships with patient advocacy groups
    • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including Regulatory, Medical Affairs and Market Access, to ensure cohesive and aligned marketing strategies
    • Develop analytics and metrics to support business objectives
    • Support national and regional congress execution, including cross-functional congress planning, booth design, and execution of commercial tactics, sponsorships, and events
    • Develop communication materials and collateral in support of business objectives and marketing tactics
    • Ensure legal/regulatory compliance and medical accuracy of all marketing materials
    • Develop the therapeutic area marketing capabilities and scalable infrastructure
    • Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring maximum impact and return on investment
    • Be able to support/pivot to alternative therapeutic areas as needed, demonstrating agility in responding to changing business needs
    Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:
    • Strong project management, communication, and organization skills
    • Experience building relationships and engaging with patient advocacy groups
    • Experience managing external agency partners, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and internal/external stakeholders to effectively implement strategies and programs
    • Understanding of the legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions
    • Experience working in small to mid-sized biopharmaceutical firms is desired
    • The position will be based in Menlo Park/Bay Area
    • Travel approximately 30% of time
    Preferred Education and Experience:
    • BS/BA degree (science or business degree preferred); MBA is a plus
    • 8+ years of experience in marketing and/or relevant commercial experience in the pharmaceutical/ biotech industry, including a deep understanding of the digital space
    The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this headquarters-based position is $204,500-$240,600; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
