JOB SUMMARY
The Cook performs meal preparation work including ordering, planning, and preparing food. Maintains inventory and records of food consumption, meal preference, and recommendations for improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare the food as planned.
Manage kitchen maintenance and setting up and taking down the dining areas.
Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in kitchen, dining, and work areas.
Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
Stock and organize kitchen, plan menus, and order food and supplies.
Maintain confidentiality of client's care.
Participate in scheduled program meetings.
Other relevant duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid CA driver's license and current auto insurance per contract requirements required.
Current Food Handlers' Card required.
Cultural Competency understanding required.
Bilingual preferred.
