    Job Description:


    Responsible for maximizing rooms' revenue and profit associated across the customer segments of transient, group and contract for the hotel.

    Recommends and maintains pricing, positioning, and management of inventory.

    Oversees the processes associated with maximizing revenue from existing demand, forecasting and opportunity analysis (to include seasonality, competitive, positioning and displacement).

    Ensures all strategies are effectively implemented. Identifies future opportunities and effectively communicates strategies to the sales team.


    General Responsibilities Include:
    Set and manage appropriate yield controls to maximize the hotel revenue from all distribution channels

    Monitor and evaluate market demand trends, ensuring all rates are loaded and inventory maintenance is correct.

    Accurate preparation and analysis of market segmentation reports, production reports, source contribution analysis, daily pick-up reports, and pace summaries.

    Conducts audits to guarantee sell strategy is set correctly in all channels.

    Coordinate various activities to further enhance revenue potential

    Maintain group pick-up reports and communicate with Sales regarding upcoming groups cut-offs.

    Leads weekly revenue management meetings, and prepare Revenue Management Report information for all related meetings.


    Monitor and analyze the competition daily / weekly through shop reports and the Internet to identify selling strategies and market trends.

    Ensures that sales strategies and rate restrictions are implemented, communicated and modified as market conditions fluctuate

    Conducts sales strategy analyses and refines as appropriate to increase RevPAR index

    Effectively manages all distribution channels (OTA's, , GDS)

    Leads the pricing, content and distribution of all business segments

    Makes solid strategy recommendations to exceed revenue goals and budgets

    Uses all available tools and resources to determine, implement and control selling strategies

    Maintains accurate reservations system information

    Provides recommendations to improve effectiveness of the revenue management process

    Communicates Viceroy brand initiatives, demand and market analyses to hotel management, sales team and other stakeholders

    Leads the annual budgeting and pricing process

    Accountable for accurate forecasting to within +/- 3%


    Skills/Knowledge Required:
    Excellent computer skills, including, but not limited to, accounting programs, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Familiarization with, and ability to write, macros in Excel is preferred.

    Proficiency in SynxisCRS preferred, and/or Opera PMS preferred, IDeaS and Lanyon preferred. Clear understanding of using third party extranet sites and all other available sources of business.

    Extensive knowledge of competitive hotels and marketplace.

    Effective ability to supervise and motivate staff to maintain optimal department operation and staff development.


    Able to develop and manage budget and forecasts, an analytical approach to problem solving, and the ability to analyze financial statements and market data.

    Present ideas, expectations and information in a concise, well-organized way, with experience in owner relations and presentations.


    Qualification Standards:
    Education: 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major preferred


    Experience: 3-5 years of progressive revenue management experience in a hotel, with a proven track record of delivering market-leading results and innovative solutions.


    Grooming:
    All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided).

    The expected pay for this position is: $100,000 - $120,000
