    ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Boone, North Carolina.

    Job Details:


    • Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

    • Up to 2 weekends per month required

    • Float to Medical-Surgical unit as patient volume requires

    • Holiday coverage required

    • Blocked scheduling may be considered if requested upfront but not guaranteed

    • 5:1 patient to RN ratio with goal of 4:1

    • Must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients as they are not redirected

    • Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

    • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (all AHA certified)

    • Skills required: Telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, rapid response/code team participation, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care/management, cardiac drip management (no titration), oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE

    • 2+ years of experience required with 2+ years travel experience

    • Recent EPIC EMR experience and proficiency required

    • North Carolina license or multistate license required

    • Dress code: All navy or all white scrubs

    • Must reside more than 40 miles from facility

    • Driver's license required for address verification

    Facility:

    This medical center operates an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) float pool with 24 beds and an average daily census of 20-24 patients. The facility utilizes EPIC electronic medical records and follows PCU/Telemetry care protocols. The unit provides comprehensive care including telemetry monitoring, cardiac care, and intermediate-level medical services with interdisciplinary support teams available.
